In certain countries (Spain is one of them) it is a legal requirement that each hotel shares a certain number of data with local law enforcement (police).

It translates into a lot of manual work and effort, in case the Police software is not connected to your PMS. If it is, it all goes automatically, as the PMS sends periodically all required info to the police.
